It’s been over a year in the making. My new album, “New Album”, is a collection of songs I wrote with storytelling in mind. Most songs tell stories in some way—often personal ones about the artist—but these are different. These are stories I made up, stepping into someone else’s shoes. I had a great time creating, recording, and playing them.

When I started this music project during COVID to keep myself busy, I wasn’t sure it would last. I’ve always written songs—I have books filled with lyrics, chord progressions, and ideas—but I never had the time or the drive to figure out how to record them. COVID gave me that time, and I got hooked. Life is busy now with work, family, and bands, but I still want to keep recording. If nothing else, these songs are snapshots of where I was in my life when I made them.

Not many people will hear these songs, and I’m perfectly fine with that. The joy is in the making, and that’s what keeps me going.
